Next Monday we will launch the last of the autumn cups, the Classics Cup, a competition in which you will be able to drive 5 iconic cars in 5 two-leg rounds with inverted grid on second one.

Remember that the starting position will be that of the entry qualifying, so make the most of the 100 laps available!

Next Monday we will continue with the second of the Autumn Cups, the FORMULAS Cup. This time we will have two mod cars, and the classic MRT, FBM and FOX.

For this cup we have a special set of rules in the pits. Find out about them:

MANDATORY PIT STOP WINDOW. The pit lane will be closed for the first 4 laps and also for the last 4 laps. Drivers will be allowed to pit for repairs in case of an accident, but this pit stop will not be taken into account.

MINIMUM TIME OF THE MANDATORY STOP. Drivers must be stationary in the pit lane for at least 8 seconds. Failure to comply with this rule will result in an automatic penalty of +30 seconds.

MANDATORY PIT STOP REQUIREMENTS. None. Drivers are free to change tyres, compounds or refuel.

We are pleased to announce the GT CUP, the first of the 3 autumn cups, which will start next Monday 9th September and will finish on 23rd December, after 6 exciting rounds.

This cup introduces some new features with respect to other competitions that must be taken into account. First of all, this time we have to choose among 4 cars for each combination and we will be able to use each model twice at most. That is to say, if there is a car that you don't like or that you find particularly difficult to master, you can discard it and use the other 3 cars twice each.

However, if you choose to use all 4, it will be necessary to repeat at least two of the models to complete the 6 rounds. The choice is yours, but please notice that the last round will score double, so choose wisely!

On the other hand, this time we will use layouts that we have never used before, and we hope you like them as much as we do. Remember that you can download a particular layout in the registration page for each round.

Next Monday, July 29th, the Joker Cup will come to an end and we will give way to the Sprint Cup, our next summer classic. 5 two-leg rounds, no qualifying and no pit stop, just flat out speed =)

Summer is here, and the Joker is back!!! On Monday July 1st the JOKER Cup 2024 will be starting, an independent competition that does not count for the current season standings, so don't worry if you can't participate in all the scheduled rounds =)

As you know, in some of the races we will gain time and even positions when using the Joker line, but other Jokers will cost you precious seconds. When are you going to use it? But remember, during qualifying it is forbidden to use the Joker ;-)

After several months of hard work and negotiations, we at CESAV are very happy to announce that we have improved our event organization system and that we are now going to collaborate with other communities to expand the range of competitions on Live for Speed. 

It's no secret that in addition to our regular LFS racing offer on Monday nights at 22:15 CET, we have recently added racing events organized by our friends at Norme Française Racing - NFR on Wednesdays at 21:15 CET. That's why we now see two active competitions on the CESAV homepage, each with their own rules and organization. 

Although we will all be under the same umbrella and the automated system for managing the qualifying and the race, as well as the standings, claims and other functionalities are what you already know, the management of each event is the responsibility of the organizer. 

For all this we welcome our NFR friends and invite you to know their rules of participation in this thread.

Following the calendar of previous seasons, every three league rounds will be followed by a round of the extraordinary cup, a mini-championship independent of the main one but that will count towards the current season.

This year, continuing with the celebrations of the 15th anniversary of the founding of CESAV, we are launching the Aniversario Cup, five S2 rounds in which we wanted to recall classic combos of Live for Speed.

Jan 8th - XFG or XRG at Blcakwood GP (BL1)

Jan 15th - FOX at Aston Club (AS3)

As usual, we will close the last quarter of the year with three different cups that we hope you will enjoy. The score obtained in each cup will be taken into account, together with the 2023 League and the GT Cup, for the final classification of the current season and the allocation of the racing numbers for the next one.

CUP DESCRIPTIONS AND SPECIFIC RULES

FORMULAS CUP (September 11th)

Setup - The same tyre compound must be used on all four wheels in both qualifying and the race. R2/R1 or similar combinations are not permitted.

Registration - 3 lap average

Pre-race Qualifying - Hotlap.

Race - Approximately 50 minutes.

Mandatory pit stops - One stop.

Pit stop rules 

Drivers must refuel during the pit stop. The amount of fuel is to be chosen by each driver (minimum 1%).

The change of tyre compound is also mandatory, and the new set of tyres must be different to the one being replaced. For example, if you have started with an R2 set, this cannot be used again after the pit stop and you must finish the race with R3, R4 or even R1... the choice is free.

RALLYCROSS AFICIONADO CUP (September 18th)

Setup - No restrictions.

Registration - 1 lap

Pre-race qualifying - 10 minutes

Race - Approximately 50 minutes.

Mandatory pit stops - Two pit stops.

Pit stop rules

The pit lane will be closed for the first 2 laps, and also during the last 2 laps. Drivers are allowed to do pit stop service for a damaged car during these periods, but will not comply with any of the mandatory pit stops in doing so. 

Consecutive pit stops are not permitted. After completing a mandatory pit stop, drivers will have to complete one full lap (crossing the finish line at least once) before they are allowed to pit again. We suggest planning a strategy in advance inorder to comply with this requirement.

TURISMO CUP (September 25th)

Setup - No restrictions.

Pre-race Qualifying - 10 minutes.

Race - Approximately 50 minutes.

Mandatory Pit Stops - These will be indicated on each race sign-up sheet. Normally one, but may be two or none at all.

Pit Stop Requirements - None.
